I can imagine the anguish that the Jews will feel
when they see the prints of the nails in Christ’s hands and feet, and He tells
them that these are the wounds which He received in the house of His
friends. But do I realize that the same
will be said for me? Christ suffered for
me, and the day will come when I will stand before Him. I imagine at that day, I may very well be
able to see the wounds which He bore for my sake. How will I respond when He tells me that the
wounds which I see are those wounds He received for my sake? Guilt?
Shame? Gratitude?
