If
there was ever a scripture that was appropriate for me to internalize in my
current situation, it is the tale of these chapters. David was married to Michal, the daughter of
Saul. David was innocent of the charges
that Saul leveled against him, but Saul trusted his own judgment and wisdom
regardless of the veracity of the charges. As a result, David was damaged and ultimately
separated from his wife.
Though
David was charged falsely, and though David was separated from his wife, David
still treated Saul appropriately and with justice and mercy. Nothing less would be appropriate from me.
