2 Nephi 5

                Joseph Smith, with his knowledge and experience in the frontier of America, would almost certainly have understood how impossible it would have been for someone untrained in smithy work to produce swords.  But yet Nephi is producing them in mass in a foreign land.  But there are evidences throughout the Book of Mormon that Nephi had extensive knowledge and experience in working with metal – knowledge and experience that Joseph Smith not only lacked but which he would have sufficiently seen to know that he lacked.

                This is yet one more (albeit minor) evidence supporting the Book of Mormon as an authentic document of ancient origin.
