I don’t think we can really understand the extent of
Jeremiah’s trials, but it is clear that he is a heroic figure. His resemblance to Lehi and Nephi seems
uncanny – there is a flavor there that seems to demonstrate that they come from
the same time and the same culture. I
know that, simple though my challenges are, there are times when I feel overwhelmed
and overburdened by them. But Jeremiah
is a wonderful example of perseverance even when these feelings threaten to
overwhelm us.
