I loved
the imagery in this chapter of the Lord doing His own work in the destruction
of Babylon , and
the prophet Jeremiah interjecting with his admonition to each of us to grab a
weapon and join in the fight. Christ has
won the war with sin, and Satan is cast down. There is no hope for ultimate victory for Babylon . The only question is whether we will fight
for the Savior and take Him as our God, or whether we will seek to become gods
to ourselves (and thus take Satan as our master).
