The
thing that struck me in this scripture was that Jeremiah was called upon to put
on the yoke, but he was not called upon to resist when the yoke was taken and
broken. So many times we are called upon
to take certain actions, but rarely are we called upon to achieve certain
results. The soldiers fight and the Lord
grants victory. When we are told what we
are to do, we can exercise faith that all we need to do is that, and we
can allow the Lord to take care of everything else on our (and His) behalf.
