Hebrews 8-9

(August 21, 2015)
The Atonement is something that is incomprehensible no matter how much attention or thought I give it. On the one hand, Paul’s arguments of the importance of blood in the Atonement and Christ’s role as High Priest makes perfect sense.  But, on the other, why did it need done this way?  That is the question that I really struggle to know an answer to.

I realize that it had to be done, and a portion of the way (perhaps all of the way) that it had to be done was the way it was done.  What I don’t understand is the why – but that may be something that is simply beyond the understanding of us on this side of the Veil.
